Model Katherine Webb — Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend who has risen to global fame in just one week — tweeted that she’ll be appearing in a Sports Illustrated photo shoot.

Randall Tyree with 101.5 Jamz in Phoenix captured the tweet. So did Rachel Baribeau, a sports radio show host with 92.9 “The Game” in Atlanta.
Webb achieved instant celebrity status after Brent Musburger complimented her on her looks during ESPN’s coverage of the BCS title game between Alabama and Notre Dame last Monday.
Webb was the 2012 Miss Alabama USA and finished in the Top 10 in the 2012 Miss USA pageant.
She works as a model in Los Angeles. But she said she’s planning to move back to Alabama to be closer to McCarron.
